The agreement between you and [[ LEGAL ENTITY ]] for the use of OriginStat. Plain language, and it means what it says.
OriginStat is a hosted web analytics product. You add a script to your site, and we count and attribute the traffic it reports. We provide it as it is described on this site, and we try to keep it running, but we do not promise a specific uptime figure and there is no service credit scheme.
You need a working email address, and you must confirm it before the product does anything. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password and any recovery codes safe. One account may hold one domain unless your plan says otherwise.
You must be entitled to measure the sites you add. Adding a domain you do not control is grounds for us to close the account.
You are the data controller for the traffic you measure; we are your processor. That means the notice your visitors see, and any consent your jurisdiction requires, are yours to get right. Our data processing terms describe exactly what we do with the data so you can describe it accurately in turn.
We give you a design that avoids cookies and never stores an address, which removes most of the difficulty. It does not remove your obligation, and nothing on this site is legal advice about your situation.
Plans and prices are on the pricing section of the home page. Payments are handled by Polar, who act as merchant of record — your contract for the payment itself is with them, and their terms cover the transaction. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and cancelling stops the next renewal rather than the current period, which runs to its end.
Every plan starts with a 15-day trial and no card. When a trial ends without a subscription, the account moves to the free tier: your history stays visible and a smaller allowance keeps measuring.
We keep counting and you lose nothing. At 100% of your allowance you get an email and a banner. Between 100% and 150% there is a full grace period with no change. Only well past that, and only after two consecutive months, do we move you to the plan that fits — with seven days' notice and the chance to decline, cancel, or reduce your traffic first.
If OriginStat is not what you expected, write to support@originstat.com within 30 days of a payment and we will refund it. After that we will refund the unused part of a period where the circumstances warrant it. Refunds are issued through Polar.
You agree not to:
We may suspend an account that does any of these. Where the problem is not deliberate we will tell you and give you a chance to fix it first.
Your analytics are yours. We do not sell them, we do not use one customer's data to serve another, and we do not train anything on them. You can export or delete them at any time, and closing your account deletes them.
We may use aggregate figures that identify nobody and no customer — total events processed, for instance — to describe the service publicly.
You may close your account whenever you like, from the settings page. We may end this agreement with 30 days' notice, or immediately where an account breaches section 5 or leaves an invoice unpaid. If we end it without cause, we refund the unused part of the period.
OriginStat is provided without warranties beyond those the law will not let us exclude. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit, or for a business decision taken on a number this product showed you. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Analytics involve sampling, ad blockers, and browsers that lie. Treat the figures as a good measurement, not as an audited account.
We will give 30 days' notice by email before a change that materially affects you; continuing to use the service after that is acceptance. These terms are governed by the law of [[ GOVERNING LAW ]], and the courts of [[ JURISDICTION ]] have exclusive jurisdiction.
